Common Name Triana's Epistephium [Colombian Botanist and original collector of the type 1800's]

Flower Size

Found in Colombia without locational data and only the apex of the plant to observe as a terrestrial with several, ovate-lanceolate, shortly acuminate, amplexicaul base leaves that blooms on terminal inflorescence with realatively small flowers with strikingly thick, stiff perianth parts

Similar to Epis. duckei and Epis. hernandii, but the flowers are distinctly smaller, the lip is covered by very long fleshy, soft hairs along midvein and the perianth segments are strikingly thickened.
