Found in New Guinea in beach swamps and hot lowland forests at elevations of sea level to 500 meters as a hot growing epiphyte that blooms in the late spring through mid fall with a sharp edged, glabrous inflorescence.

CAUTION I cannot be sure of this determination so please use with caution!!!! According to Schlechter's drawing of 1912 the exterior parts of the flowers should be hairy.
