Found in Xizang province of China ubtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests at elevations arond 2000 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to terete, slender stems enveloped by close fitting sheaths and carrying 2 to 3, apical, ligulate-lanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, pubescent, ariisn near the apex of the stem, peduncle .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long, provided with 2 sterile, small, amplexicaul bracts, rachis .08" [.2 cm] long, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long overall, 2 flowered inflorescence with dark red, elliptic, acute, concave, sparsely tomentose, shorter than the ovary floral bracts, E
