Found in southern India at elevations of 1600 to 2000 meters high in the canopy as a miniature sized, cool growing lithophyte with a at first narrow cylindrical becoming clavate above stem carrying 2, oblong, narrow,articulate below into the base leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a terminal, erect, short, 1 to 3 flwoered inflorescence arising through a tube like sheath and carrying long pedicellate flowers with ovate lanceoalte floral bracts.
