Common Name The Sichuan Eria - in China Ma Chi Ping Lan

Flower Size .24" [6 mm]

Found in Guangdong, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces of China on rocks along valleys at elevations around 2300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing lithophyte with close set, in a row, oblong, slightly curved pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 4, apical, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse apically, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring on 1 to 2, subterminal,shorter than the leaves, peduncle .8" [2 cm] long, provided with small basal sheths, rachis often brown villous, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with lanceoalte, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
