Found in Thailand and Myanmar in lowlands at elevations below 500 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with clustered, more or less in rows, fat fusiform, several internodes, flattened pseudobulbs that in youth are green with white veins and in maturity brown, carrying 4 to 5, light green veined leaves that blooms in the later winter on an erect, arising from near the top of a mature pseudobulb, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with orange yellow floral bracts.
Lindley mentions that the flowers are pure white with a lemon colored lip and marked by three longitudinal, purple elevated lines.
