Found in Alto de las Baldías, department of Antioquia, Colombia in elfin forests at elevations around 3150 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with an erect to ascending stem carrying all along the stem, fleshy, elliptic, rounded apically, apiculate leaves that blooms on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence occasionally a 2 flowered fascile with inconspicuous floral bracts.
Distinguished by the tepals longer than the 3-lobed lip, with an irregular apex, and the sepals are larger than the petals.
