Found in the Philippines on the island of Mindanao on forested slopes in foothills at elevations around 1525 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a long repent rhizome giving rise to pendulous, branching stems carrying above calvate pseudobulbs carrying a single, broad, ligulate, oblong linear, coriaceous, unequally bilobed apcially, lobule obtuse, shortly contracted below into the base leaf that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an axillary, very short, successively single, few flowered inflorescence a fugacious, red striped flower.
