Found in the Philippines on the island of Leyte at elevations around 120 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a pendent, shortly pendent, branching, tereete stem giving rise to fusiform, complanate, rugose, abliquely ascendent pseudobulbs carrying a single, lanceolate, acuminate, acute, subcoriaceous, basally rounded leaf that blooms in the later spring on an axillary, successsively? single flowered inflorescence.
"Similar to F appendiculata but distinguished by the keels of the lip that ae disinctly crenulate or wavy along the free edge. The median keel is much shorter than the laterals and extends along the center of the mid-lobe to the base of the sinus formed by the terminal lobules" Ames 1915
