Common Name or Meaning The Luxurious Flickingeria

Found in Borneo, Java, Malysia and the Phillipines in riverine and hill forests at elevations of sealevel to 1000 meters as a large sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial orchid with an elongate rhizome giving rise to narrowly elliptic, compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by leafless sheaths that becomes fibery in time and carrying a single, apical erect, broadly elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the short petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on an axillary, or from nodes distant from the pseudobulbs, short, single flowered inflorescence carrying short lived, sometimes fragrant flowers.
