Found in eastern Java and Christmas Islands on lava rocks in foothills at elevations around 550 meters as a small szied, warm growing lithophyte with ascending, sometimes branching stems with .8 to 1.2" [2 t o3 cm] between each much compressed, yellow pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, oblong, obtuse, pale green leaf that blooms sporadically on a terminal, arising on the top of the leaf single flowered inflorescence.
