Found in Sulawesi in montane forests on trees often in thick moss pads at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a small sized, cool, pendulous growing epiphyte with a limply pendulous stem that has numerous side branches carrying 1 to 2, cylindric pseudobulbs each carrying a single, ovate, acute leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on a behind the leaf, single flowered inflorescence
