Common Name Claes' Galeandra
Flower Size 2 1/2" [6 cm]
Found in Brazil as a small to medium sized, warm to hot growing epiphyte with elongate, spindle-shaped pseudobulbs enveloped partially by leaf-bearing sheaths carrying numerous, eventually deciduous, linear to linear-lanceolate, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms in the summer on a pendulous, 9" [22 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the pseudobulb.
