Found in southwestern Mexico and Venezuela? at elevations around 1800 to 1900 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with short, tuberous, pubescent roots giving rise to grass-like, linear, acute leaves that blooms on a 14" [35 cm] long overall, peduncle glabrous, enveloped by tubular, clasping, acuminate, foliaceous below, non-foliaceous above bracts, rachis 4.5" [11.25 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate to ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, concave, as long as to asomewhat longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small green flowers
CAUTION This entire listing could be in error, the drawing by Foldats is from a plant collected in Venezuela, which is a long ways from southwestern Mexico, so please use with caution!!!!!
