Common Name The Garifuna Galeandra [An Afrocaribbean culture present in the arfea wheree the species was collected]

Found in Guatemala in hot subtropical, very wet forests on palms on the seashore of the Caribbean at elevations around 3 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with linear pseudobulbs enveloped by purple spotted, adpressed sheaths and carrying elliptic, acuminate, thin, deciduous, trinerved, plicate leaves that blooms on short, single flowered inflorescence.
