Common Name The Rio Negro Galeottia [Amazon Tributary in Venezuela and Brazil]
Flower Size 1 3/4" [4.5 cm]
A hot to warm growing, medium sized, epiphytic orchid that is found in Colombia with pseudobulbs that have 2 basal sheaths and carries erect-patent, lanceolate-ligulate leaves that are attenuate into the petiolate base and blooms in the summer a basal, 1.6" [4 cm] long, 2 to 5 flowered, lateral inflorescence that has ovate lanceolate bracts and arises with the new leaves.
