Found in New Zealand in lowland to montane forests as a mini-miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with no leaves and only a very few, small scale leaves widely spaced up the stem that blooms in the later spring and summer on a slender, brown, smooth, erect, 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence carrying flowers that barely open.
