Found in Papua New Guinea at elevations around 800 to 1000 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with an oblong, horizontal rhizome giving rise to a somewhat flexuous to substrict, terete, glabrous stems with a few small, clasping sheaths that blooms in the winter on an erect, lax, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with ovate, obtuse, glabrous floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the flowers are white flushed with pale brown and the petals are darker and there is a pure white lip..
