Common Name The Saber-Shaped Leaf Gastrochilus - In China Lian Ye Pen Ju Lan

Found in Hainan province of China in forests on tree trunks at elevations around 1000 to 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a more or less compressed, terete stem carrying distichous, falcate-oblong, acute with 2 short awns leaves that blooms in the fall on 1 to 2, opposite of the leaves, .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long, several flowered, subumbellate inflorescence with 2 to 3 basal, cupular sheaths and deltoid, subfleshy floral bracts
