Common Name The Similar Gastrochilus

Flower Size .2 to .24" [5 to 7mm]

Found in the Chinese Himalayas, the eastern Himalayas and Nepal on trees in forests at elevations of 2300 to 3000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a pendent stem enveloped by leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying several, distichous, oblong-lanceolate to subspathulate, minutely 2 to 3 dentate, fleshy, jointed, sessile leaves that blooms in the spring on a shortly racemose, slender, glabrous, distantly, triangular sheathed, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with triangular to ovate, subacute floral bracts.
