Common Name The Corymbose Gastrochilus
Flower Size .5" [1.25 cm]
Found in the eastern Himalayas to northwest Myanamar to Yunnan province of China at elevations around 2200 metres as a mini-miniature sized, cold, pendent growing epiphyte with a descending, leaf throughout stem carrying ovate, acuminate, thickly fleshy, midvein slightly impressed above, clasping base leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, [1.3 cm] long, held in a corymb, 4 flowered inflorescence with oblong, rounded apically, slightly shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
Differs from G distichus in having a shorter, appressed peduncle and a corymbose, 4 flowered inflorescence. It differs from G peudodistichus in the ecallose lip.
