Found in Hong Kong, Yunnan province of China, Laos and southern Vietnam at elevations of 1100 to 2100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing lithophyte with a rarely branched, woody towards the base, herbaceous towards the apex stem with alternate, distichous, green, ovate, finely serrated margin towards the apical 1/4", aristate apically, with a small lateral tooth on either side leaves that blooms in the summer on 1 to 2, pendulous thick, green, to .4" [1 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
