Found in the eastern highlands of Victoria Australia in tall moist forests and montane forests as a large sized, cold growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial orchid that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, 4' [120 cm] tall, 8 to 70, sucessively flowered, racemose inflorescence with nodding flowers
