Found in Bangladesh, Thailand, Yunnan province of China, northern Laos and Vietnam in dense forests on tree trunks at elevations around 1500 to 1600 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect stem carrying a few narrowly elliptic, obtuse, becoming conduplicate towards the clasping base leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, from the old leaf bases below, to 2" [5 cm] long, 4 to 15 flowered, subumbellate inflorescence with ovate-triangular floral bracts.
