Found in Victoria and South Australia in dense heathy forests among leafy acumulations at elevations of 5 to 100 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with an erect, pale brown, often twisted, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence carrying spreading to nodding, tubular flowers occuring in the later spring
