Found in western Fujian province of China in dense forests at elevations of 1200 to 1400 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a cylindric to digitate rhizome that blooms in the later summer on an erect, peduncle grayish brown to grayish green, 3 to 4 noded below the middle, each node bracted, 4 to 8 " [10 to 20 cm] long, rachis 1 to 2.8" [2.5 to 7 cm] long, laxly 5 to 8 flowered inflorescence with caducous, brown, broadly ovate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying spreadiung to nodding, non-resupinate flowers. .
