Found in Sri Lanka in humus in tropical, wet evergreen forests at elevations below 650 metrers as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, hot to warm growing mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with a tuber giving rise to an erect, naked or with a few empty sheaths brown colored stem that blooms in the mid winter through mid spring terminal, lax, elongating during flowering, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with small, orbicular floral bracts and carrying white flowers slightly tinged with violet.
