Found in the Assam of India & Thailand at elevations around 46 to 200 meters as a medium sized, hot growing terrestrial orchid with depressed globose, with 2 annular rings, smooth pseudobulbs giving rise to usually 3, well developed at blooming, broadly elliptic to oblong ovate, shortly acuminate to acute leaves with the petioles of all the leaves enveloped by the sheaths forming a pseudo stem that blooms in the later spring on a near basal, 9.2 to 10" [23 to 25 cm] long overall, peduncle 7.2 to 7.6" [18 to 19 cm] long, smooth, drooping, corymb, to 10 flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceoalte, acute to acuminate longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers that do not open well
