Found in New Guinea in montane forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to sometimes branching, thin, slightly compressed, densely leafy stems carrying erect-patent, glabrous, linear to linear-ligulate, oblique apically, subacute, narrowing below into the subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the early summer on a terminal, single flowered inflorescence.
Schlechter states that the flowers are snow white and densely gray-green spotted on the apex of the lip and the anther is pale brown on the front but white everywhere else.
