Found in New Guinea at elevations around 600 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to compressed, branching, densely leafy stems carrying erect-patent, glabrous, ligulate, somewhat oblique apically, obtuse, subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, single flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the lip has minute greyish-green dots at the apex of the lip and the anther is pale brown, otherwise the flowers is snow white.
