Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1100 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to erect, branching, somewhat compressed, terete, leafy stems carrying patent, thickly coriaceous, oblong to oblong-elliptic, minutely and obliquely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, single flowered inflorescence.
