Found in New Guinea at elevations around 2300 meters as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to erect, branching, somewhat compressed, leafy stems carrying erect-patent, coriaceous, glabrous, obliquely oblong-ligulate, unequally and obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, single flowered inflorescence.
