Common Name Fernandez's Gomphichis [Colombian Orchid Enthusiast and Collector of species current]

Found in Boyaca and Cundinamarca departments of Colombia in cloud forests at elevations around 3400 to 3600 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with 2 to 3 basal and 1 to 2 cauline,oblonaceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a terminal, erect, slender, with 7 cauline sheaths, to 18" [45 cm] long, glabrous below, glandular towards the apex, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute, sparsely pubescent floral bracts and carrying small flower.
