Common Name The Graceful Gomphichis

Found in notheastern Colombia and northwestern Venezuela at elevations of 2000 to 3000 meters as a large sized, cold growing terrestrial with 3 to 5, basal, spreading, elliptic-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, terete, glabrous below becominf glandular-pubescent above, enveloped by 4 to 6, amplexicaul, acuminate sheaths, rachis to 4.8" [12 cm] long, lax, 12 to 20 flowered inflorescence with spreading, elliptic to ovate, acuminate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying spreading, small flowers.
