Common Name The Clove-Scented Gongora

Found from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia? in rain and cloud forests as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte at sealevel to 1500 meters in elevation with elliptic, longitudinally sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, plicate, elliptic, undulate, acute, conduplicate below into the short petiole leaves and blooms in the spring on a basal, 11 1/5" [28 cm] long, pendant, racemose, several flowered [6] inflorescence with fragrant flowers that smell of clove.
