Common Name The Spotted Gongora

Flower Size .8" [2 cm] wide

Found in Trinidad, Guyana and Peru as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with ovoid-oblong to cylindrical-conic, strongly sulcate and ridged pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several, scarious sheaths and carrying 2, apical, erect, plicate, lanceolate, to ligulate-oblong to elliptical-obovate, acute to acuminate, more or less undulate margins, gradually narrowing below into the short petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall through spring on a lateral, pendulous, elongate, racemose, to 28" [80 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts and carrying very fragrant flowers.
