Common Name or Meaning Seidel's Gongora [German orchid Collector and enthusiast 1800's]

Found in Chiapas state of Mexico in tropical forests on rocks as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with conical-ovoid, sulcate pseudobulbs without angular ribs, enveloped basally by scarious-fibrous sheaths and carryign 2, apical, erect, plicate, narrowly elliptic to oblanceolate, acumiante, with 3 prominent veins beneath and 2 secondary veins one each on either side, attenuate below into the channeled petioalte base leaves that blooms on a basal, pendent, peduncle with 4 tubular,acute, scarious bracts, rachis zig-zag, to 12" [30 cm] long, lax, 8 to 12 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, scarious floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers.
