Found in Mozambique and Madagascar in humid mid elevation forests at elevations of 700 to 1800 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 5, in the lower third of the stem, elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate, subrounded into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the early spring on a terminal, erect, slightly hispid-glandular, narrow, to 6" [to 15 cm] long, almost dense, many flowered inflorescence.
