Common Name or Meaning The Colored Goodyera

Flower Size .15" [3mm]

Found in Malaysia, Sumatra, Java and Borneo in lower montane forests at around 700 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial orchid with a fleshy, light red stem carrying 4 to 6, well spaced, lanceolate to ovate, acute, dark red, with 3 to 5 broad light yellow to pink veins, often with more narrower ones, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long, to 10 flowered inflorescence with 3 large, leafy sheaths and longer than the pedicel and ovary floral bracts.
