Common Name Perrier's Goodyera [French Botanist In Madagascar 1900's]

Flower Size

Found in northern and eastern Madagascar in montane and lower montane forests at elevations of 300 to 500 meters as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 5 to 6, basal, more or less close set, oblong, rounded to very obtuse basally, apiculate leaves with 4 to 5 distantbracts above, that blooms in the later spring on an erect, terminal, to 4" [10 cm] long, 8 to 12 flowered inflorescence with longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying slightly glandular-pubescent externally flowers.
