Found in Java and Borneo in mixed oak/chestnut lower montane forests on sandstone ridges at elevations around 900 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing terrestrial with lanceolate, acute, greyish green with white to yellow reticulated leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring on a terminal, erect, 4 to 5.3" [20 to 24 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence carrying successive opening flowers with about half open at any one time.
