Found in New Caledonia in rainforess at elevations of 300 to 500 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying several, ovate to lanceolate, shortly acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, terminal, shortly pedunculate, .4 to 1.2" [1 to 3 cm] long, rachis .8 to 3.6" [2 to 9 cm] long, somewhat pubescent, near lax, 6 to 30 flowered inflorescence with membrtaneous floral bracts
