Found in Papua New Guinea in moist areas under scrub an with moss at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a terete, glabrous, leafy in the basal third stem carrying about 3, dark velvet green intricately veined in rose-red, erect-patent, obliquely ovate, acute, rounded below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, several to 7 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the petals are falcate and extremely narrow.
