Common Name The Bottle-Shaped Govenia [refers to the basally swollen stem]

Found in southern Mexico and El Salvador. Occuring in cloud forests at elevations of 1800 to 2550 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial that blooms in the spring through fall.
