Common Name The Kidney-Shaped Lip Govenia

Found in Magdalena department of Colombia in cloud forests at elevations of 2400 to 2700 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with cylindric pseudobulbs enveloped by leaf sheath bases and carrying two apical, oblong-elliptic, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal, erect,peduncle to 22" [55 cm] long, rachis to 4.8" [12 cm]long, subdensely several flowered inflorescence with lanceoalte, acuminate, almost as long as the ovary floral bracts.

Similar to G tingens but this one differs in the reniform, entire, convex centrally lip and the long clawed dorsal sepal.
