Found in northwestern Madagascar on savannahs at elevations up to 300 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with clustered, ovoid-oblong pseudobulbs carrying after flowering, very narrow, grass like, very acute leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, to 10" [25 cm] long, slender, peduncle short, provided with 2 to 3 small sheaths paniculate, 3 to 5 branched, loosely many flowered inflorescence with small, acute, much shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
