Flower Size

Found in Xixang Zizhiqu province of China on shrubby slopes at elevations of 3200 to 3600 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing, somewhat robust terrestrial with ellipsoid tubers with a few slender, elongate lobes giving rise to an erect, stout, stem provided with 2 to 3, basal, tubular sheaths and carrying 6 to 8 cauline, widely spaced, elliptic, narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, acuminate leaveds that blooms in the summer on an erect, elongate, to 10" [25 cm] long, peduncle provided with 2 lanceolate bracts, rachis 3.2 to 4.6" [8 to 11.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, lower longer than the flower shorter above floral bracts.
