Found in the Philippines in humid forests at elevations of sealevel to 2000 meters as a medium to just large sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying, at the base, oblong to lanceolate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, terminal, elongate, loosely many flowered inflorescence with lanceoalte, acumminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts
