Common Name The Spider-Like Habenaria
Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]
Found in east central Madagascar in humid hill and montane forests at elevations of 750 to 2000 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial orchid with a stem that is almost completely enveloped by lower leafless and higher leafed sheaths carrying lanceolate-acute, plicate leaves and blooms in the spring and fall on a 1.6" to 2.4" [4 to 6 cm] long, thin, 8 to 15 flowered inflorescence
