Common Name The Balim River Habenaria [A river in western New Guinea]

Found in western New Guinea in grassy forests edges at elevations around 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrrestrial with an erect, terete, lower half with tubular sheaths, leafy above stems carrying 5, ovate, basally clasping acute, leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, terminal, glabrous, peduncle to 3.6" [9 cm] long, with 2 sheathing scales, 6.1" [15.2 cm] long, rachis 2.48" [6.2 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying resupinate, green flowers.
